Obituary for Arthur Searle Westover

Arthur Searle Westover, 97, passed away on Thursday, September 6, 2018. He was born August 29, 1921 in Twin Falls, Idaho to Arthur Ellis Westover and Nina Mae Searle.
He married Jean LaRae Turpin on September 4, 1943 in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Dad served in the Navy on the USS California Battleship during World War II. He was a welder and worked and retired from Christensen Diamond Products. He enjoyed fishing, working on cars, had patience to fix about anything and was always willing to give advice to others on how to do their own repairs, and he loved to visit and be with his family.
He is survived by his two daughters, Judy (Richard) Butler and Connie (Monte) Lloyd; son, Troy (Nancy) Westover; 12 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; and 7 great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife; parents; 5 brothers, Keith, Dee, Gene, Ray and Richard “Dick” Westover; sister, Marie Shortino; and son-in-law, Monte Lloyd.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 15, 2018, at 1:00 p.m. at the Wandamere Ward, 304 East, 2700 South, Salt Lake City, Utah. A viewing will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. prior to services at the church. Interment: Elysian Burial Gardens, 1075 East College Street (4580 South), Salt Lake City.
