Obituary for Betty Alice Nevenner (Holbrook) Johns

Betty at 92, passed away August 8, 2017, from complications of a stroke.

Betty was born to Alice Cordelia Hickman and Wilbur Joseph Nevenner on February 10, 1925, in Rolapp (Price), Utah. Her brother was Ron Nevenner.

Betty earned her B.S. degree in nursing at U of U. Betty married Brigham
(Bim) Garn Holbrook December 16, 1949.

Brigham worked for the State Dept, building American Embassies with the family all over the world.

Betty loved being a nurse at LDS Hospital, and then Crosslands Nursing Home.

Betty served in many church callings and as a temple worker at the Jordan River Temple. She is remembered for her gentle heart and kind smile.

In June 26, 1996, Richard Springer Johns and Betty were sealed in the Bountiful Temple. They enjoyed 10 loving years together.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Ron Nevenner, her son Ven Holbrook, and her husband Richard Johns. She is survived by: Tracy (Rick) Bigelow, West (Cindy) Holbrook, Bard (Amy Sloan) Holbrook, Kurt (Lexie) Holbrook, (Susan) Holbrook, 16 grandchildren, and 39 great-grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held Saturday August 19, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Meadows Ward, 12459 Dansie Way (1860 W) Riverton, Utah. Viewing will be Saturday the 19th 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. Interment will be after the funeral at Wasatch Lawn, 3401 Highland Drive, Salt Lake City.
