Obituary for Constance (Connie) Carr Nelson

Have you ever met an earthly angel? Connie Nelson was one on them.

This loving wife to Tim Nelson, the sweet and incredible mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and BEST friend to countless others, unexpectedly yet peacefully joined her Heavenly Angel family and friends on the morning of October 31, 2017.

Connie was born on August 12, 1943 in Highland Park, Ill to Harold and Marguerite Carr. When she was one years old her family moved to Salt Lake City, Utah, the state she would proudly call home for the rest of her earthly life.

At the young age of 13 and just shortly after her family had moved to Granger, Utah she met this (as she put it) very handsome and athletic guy by the name of Tim Nelson. Five years later and at the young age of 18 she married this man who would later become her eternal companion and soul mate for 56 glorious years.

Connie held various jobs both in the work force and her church and with each one she always showed up ready to give 110% of her time, love and energy. Of all the jobs she held, her most cherished was that of being a wife and mother in which she magnified to it’s fullest.

One of her favorite motto’s was “we might not have it all together, but together we have it all”. Family was everything to her and she was the glue that held us together, she was the light in every room, the shoulder we all cried on, the weekly or daily phone call to remind you that you were loved.

Connie cherished her membership in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and was a true example of showing Christ like service and love on a daily basis. She went about spreading joy from morning till night.

Connie is survived by her loving husband, Tim Nelson; children- Trina (Mark) Grandinetti, Mindi (Russ) Paskins, Chad Nelson, 8-grandchildren Tori (Logan)Locke, Desirae (Darren) Jaynes, Samantha (Jesse) Williams, Whitney Paskins, Riley Grandinetti, Luke Nelson, Parker Nelson, Connor Nelson and 3 great grandchildren, Molly and Calvin Locke, and Jackson Jaynes, sister, Carol Jean (Wayne) Stoker, and countless BEST friends.

Heaven certainly gained an angel. Keep spreading that heavenly joy until we meet again.
