Obituary for Ellen Davis Turner

Beloved Aunt, Ellen Davis Turner, age 101, passed peacefully on November 5, 2017 of age-related causes. She was born in Ogden, Utah on November 22, 1915 to loving parents, John P and Caroline May Lemmon Davis.

Ellen graduated from Granite High School and LDS Business College. She married James L. Turner on September 23, 1940. Ellen was a hard productive worker all her life. She received great personal satisfaction from a task well done even though she suffered with numerous health challenges. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and was so happy to receive her endowments in January 2013. Ellen was the last survivor of her family and was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Marie, Esther, Margaret; and brothers, Jay John, Ezra and Oliver. She is survived by many loving nieces and nephews residing in California, Idaho and Utah.

Family and friends may gather at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 S. State Street, Murray, Utah on Saturday, November 11, 2017, from 11:00-11:45 a.m. with graveside services following at Elysian Burial Gardens,1075 E. 4580 S., as per her request.

The family wishes to extend sincere appreciation and gratitude to the caregivers at St. Joseph Villa.
