Obituary for Glade Adamson Peterson

Glade A. Peterson passed away at home on August 28, 2018, at the age of 91. He was born on November 23, 1926 in Spring City, Utah to Hans William and Margaret Adamson Peterson. He graduated from North Sanpete High School and Snow College where he met his wife, Glenna Sorensen. They were married in the Manti Temple on September 6, 1949. He graduated from the University of Utah and worked as an electrical engineer at Westinghouse Electric. He served on the Murray City Power Board.

Glade was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, faithfully serving in many callings, including working at the Jordan River Temple and serving three church service missions.

He is survived by his wife Glenna, and five children: Allen (Gale) Peterson, Elaine (Brian) DeWitt, Jeff (Elvia) Peterson, Jeana Clark, and Brent (Karen) Peterson. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by brothers, Andrew and Mervin Peterson, and sister, Elsie P. Heath.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 7, 2018, at 11:00 a.m. at the Hillside Ward, 495 East 5600 South, Murray, Utah. Viewings will be held at the church on Thursday, September 6th, from 6:00-8:00 p.m. and Friday from 10:00-10:45 a.m. prior to the services.
Interment at Murray City Cemetery.
