Obituary for Janice Lucille Adams

“Bless her heart”

Janice Lucille Adams, 86, went to be with the Lord on December 27, 2017. She was born Sept. 3, 1931, in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Albert and Evangeline Jacobsen. She was a dedicated and loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Janice was loved by many and quickly became friends with those around her. She enjoyed spending time with her family and when away from them, she wanted to boast about their accomplishments.

Janice lived a life of grace and compassion. She was always there to listen, encourage and give the best advice. She was a hard worker and dedicated herself to her work whether working in the Pentagon or as a church secretary. Janice loved being around people and spent her time volunteering after her retirement.

Janice and her husband Myron raised seven children including Steve (Penny); Karen (Dave); Richard; Jeff (Valerie); Cheryl (Monte); Sue (Larry); and Cathy. She loved her many grandchildren – Jason, Jennifer, Jamie, Michael, Andrew, Jeremy, Christopher, Nicholas, Alysia, Sarah, Tim, Rebecca, Eric, Tiffany, Rylee and Shelby. Seeing the accomplishments of her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren brought joy to her every day.

She is preceded in death by her parents and her three sisters.

A celebration of Janice’s life and the impression she left on this world will take place at 11 a.m. on Saturday, December 30 at Alta Canyon Baptist Church (11194 S 1000 E, Sandy, UT 84094).
