Jenny Lynn McKane Obituary (1976 - 2018)

Jenny Lynn McKane, 41, of Salt Lake City, Utah, passed away peacefully on February 26, 2018, after waging a 4-year battle with colon cancer with great dignity, hope, and courage. Her family and friends were beside her. Jenny was born in Salt Lake City, Utah on May 19, 1976 to Mary Foster and the late Tom Foster. She graduated from Bingham High School in 1994 and from the University of Utah in 1999 with a degree in Psychology. She leaves behind her loving mother, Mary Zhulkie Foster; two children, Danny and Daryll McKane; three siblings, Gain Foster (Amy), Jodi Scharman (Brett) and Wendy Zurinskas (Chad); her former husband and friend, Mark McKane (Reagan); and many aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, cousins and friends, as well as her dear cat, Maslow. Jenny loved hiking in the mountains of Utah, rock climbing, mountain biking, traveling to new places, and spending time with her family and friends. She was a lover of the Arts and embraced Eastern philosophies, mindfulness, and sustainable, natural living. Her beauty, kindness, humor, generosity and grit were unmatched. Jenny was dearly loved by everyone lucky enough to have known her, and she will live forever in our hearts and memories. An End of Life Celebration will be held on Thursday, March 1, 2018, at the Atrium, 9201 S 1300 E, Sandy, Utah, beginning at 6 PM. A tribute will take place at 6:30 PM with light refreshments to follow. Jenny had hoped for a light and celebratory occasion. Casual or colorful attire is welcome.
