Kristy Lynn Jones Obituary (1979 - 2018)

Kristy Lynn Jones (Sanderson) returned to her Father in Heaven on July 26, 2018 after losing her battle to Leukemia. Kristy was born on September 20, 1979 to Michael and Deborah Sanderson (Ewell) in Murray, Utah. Kristy was a bright, happy child. She enjoyed dancing, spending time with friends and outdoor activities with her family. She attended school in West Jordan and graduated from Copper Hills High School in 1998. She was a member of the dance company, concert choir, LDS Seminary and Institute councils. She attended SLCC and Weber State University. In 2004, she met the love of her life and eternal companion, Ryan Wade Jones. They were married for all time and eternity in the Salt Lake Temple on December 29, 2006. Together, they moved to Ohio in 2008 to allow Ryan to receive his degree, Doctorate of Dental Medicine, from Case Western Reserve University. During this time, they bonded and grew to love the area and the friends they made. Kristy enjoyed teaching children’s dance classes, sharing her talent with others. In 2012, they returned to South Jordan, Utah to be closer to their families. In 2015, they were blessed to adopt their sweet, little girl, Paige April. They were sealed to her in 2016 in the Salt Lake Temple. Kristy gave birth in 2017 to their second child, Tag J. Both children are miracles that allowed Kristy to receive her most desired blessing, to be a mother. Kristy was and will always be an amazing mother to her children. Kristy had many talents. She loved to crochet, was very creative and was always actively serving others. She was a faithful member of the LDS church and loved her Father in Heaven. She made everyone she met a happier and better person. She is loved by all that knew her. She is survived by her husband, Ryan, children, Paige and Tag, mother, Deborah, sisters and best friends, Shawna Harmon (Scott) and Kelly Batteen (Andrew) and countless aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Michael J and brother, Scott. Kristy’s viewing will be held at Glenmoor 7th Ward at 4200 W Skye Dr(9800 S) in South Jordan on August 3rd from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. Her funeral will be on August 4th at 11:00 AM at the same chapel. There will be an additional viewing prior to the funeral from 9:45 to 10:45 AM. A memorial fund has been set up in Kristy Jones name at Mountain America Credit Union. Kristy is a bright star that will be missed by all. “When through fiery trials thy pathway shall lie, my grace, all sufficient, shall be thy supply.”
