Obituary for Mack Junior Bowen

Mack J. Bowen passed away on February 4, 2018 in Taylorsville, Utah. He was born in Rexburg, Idaho on November 26, 1928 to Mack Meredith and Elva Arnold Bowen.
He served an LDS Mission in Finland. He attended Ricks College. He received his Bachelors Degree at BYU in Accounting, and also received his doctorate in Education Administration. He was involved in financial planning. Mack was also an exceptional flower gardener and loved to travel. He was a people person and made friends easily.
He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where he served in two bishoprics and various callings throughout the years. He was involved in Church education for 33 years.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Ann; five children: Sherrie (Scott) Boyter, Roger (Jeanie), Kevin, Kelly S. (Janeen), and Charisse Bowen; 12 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 8, 2018 at 11:30 a.m. at Jenkins-Soffe Funeral Home South Valley located at 1007 West South Jordan Parkway, South Jordan, Utah with a viewing prior to the service from 10:00-11:15 a. m. Interment at Brigham City Cemetery.
