Obituary for Micheal Anderson Hatfield

US Army Specialist, Micheal Anderson Hatfield, 25, of Taylorsville, UT was welcomed into the loving arms of his Grandma DeMarise Marie Hatfield, Aunt Deborah Hatfield, and Savior on May 4, 2018. He was born in Murray, Utah on April 19, 1993 to Sherri Renee Hatfield.

Micheal was full of love for family, friends, country music, and his many pet companions. Most at home in the outdoors especially the mountains, he could often be found at the end of a fishing line.

A graduate of Taylorsville High School where he was a member of the swim team, JROTC, also a member the US Naval Sea Cadets. Micheal was also active in the Boy Scouts of America and achieved the rank of Eagle. He spent two wonderful summers serving as a youth counselor at Camp Tracy leading boys in enriching outdoor activities. He learned his skills as a life guard while working at Camp Tracy.

It was his caring attitude towards others and love of country that led him to enlist in the US Army where he served as an LPN at Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio. It was there that he met and married his wife, Nadine Rea, on March 11, 2018, also an LPN in the US Army, and became Dad to three wonderful boys, whom he loved dearly. He was a compassionate, skilled nurse and found great fulfillment in his service. In addition to fulfilling his duties as nurse, soldier, husband, and father, Micheal was excitedly working towards the degree of RN.

Micheal will be profoundly missed by many friends and family worldwide, especially by his wife, Nadine; sons: Noah, Jayden, and Caleb, of Texas; his mother, Sherri Hatfield; and grandfather, Al Hatfield, of Taylorsville, UT; his father, Mark Ellis; half-sister, Valerie; half-brothers, Moses and Matthew of Salt Lake City, and Mark of CA; aunt, Katherine (Alan) of New Zealand; uncle, Al (Lisa) of Fl; great aunts and uncles; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.

A viewing will be Sunday, May 13, 2018, from 9:00-10:45 a.m. at Jenkins-Soffe Funeral Home, 4760 South State Street, Murray, UT 84107, with the funeral service immediately following at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be Monday, May 14th at 10:00 a.m. at Elysian Burial Gardens, 1075 E. 4580 S., Salt Lake City, UT.
