Obituary for Shirley Tame Reynolds

Shirley Madge Tame Reynolds was called home by her Heavenly Father on October 26, 2017. She was born in Salt Lake City on May 18, 1941.
Shirley attended East High School and Brigham Young University. She married Dennis Reynolds in the Salt Lake Temple on September 21, 1971. She was employed by the Salt Lake Dairy Council, ZCMI Corporate Offices, the American Cancer Society, and retired from the Utah State Department of Agriculture and Food after many years of service.
She was a lifelong member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and sang with The Mormon Tabernacle Choir for many years. She served in many church positions during her lifetime, including Relief Society Presidency, Stake and Ward Young Women, Relief Society, Sunday School and Primary. She also served as Ward Choir Director and participated in many drama and musical events. She served a CES mission together with her husband.
Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, Melvin Savannah Tame and Madge Barrett Tame; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. She is survived by her husband, Dennis; her sons, Jonathan and Nicholas; and two grandsons.
A viewing will be held on Thursday, November 2, 2017 from 6:00-8:00 P.M. at the Stratford LDS Ward, 1500 East Stratford Avenue, Salt Lake City, Utah. Her life will be celebrated in a graveside service on Friday, November 3, 2017, at 11:00 A.M. at Elysian Gardens, 1075 East 4580 South, Salt Lake City, Utah.
