Obituary for Sophie Johanna Wiesenhuetter Ranglack

Sophie Johanna Wiesenhuetter Ranglack was born in Berlin, Germany. She married Hans Ranglack on August 3, 1948; they were sealed in the Salt Lake Temple on January 30, 1953. They served a mission together in Germany 1986-88.
She had 2 children in Germany before coming to the United States and 4 additional children (after she arrived in the USA) in February 1952. They lived in Salt Lake City until they moved to Murray, Utah in 1956.
She was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served in multiple capacities in the Church. She loved the Savior and was a great example of her faith throughout her life.
She was a peacemaker for her family and others. She loved to garden, work in her flower beds and do family history. She loved to spend time reading the scriptures, knitting and quilting. She also was a great example of love and patience.
She is survived by her husband of almost 70 years, Hans; children: Christa (Dave), Claudia, Claus (Carol), Katy (Alan), Doug (Doreen); daughter- in-law, Sue; 10 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her oldest son, Clifford.
A viewing will be held at the Jenkins-Soffe Funeral Home, 4760 S. State Street, on Friday, July 6, 2018 from 6-8 pm. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, July 7th, at 10:30 a.m. at the Murray 16th Ward (619 West 5750 South), with a visitation 1 hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be at the Salt Lake Cemetery.
