Terri Lynn Smith Mead Obituary (1974 - 2018)

HEAVEN GAINED AN ANGEL The world lost a beautiful and loving person, on March 1, 2018 our precious Terri lost her battle with cancer. She was born to Robert Colton Smith and Susan Tripp Smith on April 15, 1974. She was adopted by Robert Arthur Mead in 1993. Terri graduate from Cottonwood High School in 1992 and Steven Henager College in 2010. Terri was a foreign exchange student to Melbourne Australia in 1991 where she attended Padua College. Many hearts are breaking, Terri was a special “mom”, mentor and advisor to the Doctors in the Residency Program, “her Kids”, in the General Surgery Department, School of Medicine at the University of Utah. She was truly an amazing woman, who loved big and spread her heart wide. Terri was known, respected, and loved by many of the Doctors, Nurses, Staff and Medical Personnel at the University of Utah School of Medicine, the University of Utah Hospital and the Huntsman Cancer Institute. Terri is survived by her son, August Mead-Tull; mother, Susan Mead; sister Dori Mead and her “Australian Sister” April Muller Wardle; her “Grandma Billie”, Lolita B Tripp; many aunts, uncles, and cousins who all love her and will miss her. Terri was fortunate to have two loving fathers, Robert Colton Smith who died in 1985 and Robert Arthur Mead who died in 2001. We wish to thank Dr. Theresa Werner, Esther Kannapel, APRN, nurses Rachel and Stephanie, Callie Kofoed, Dr. David Gaffney, Rich in ACC, Dr Alex Colonna; Dr. Milos Buhavac, and Dr. Andrea Weitz for the care, love and kindness while taking care of Terri. Viewing will be at Jenkins-Soffe Funeral Chapel, 4760 S State Street, Murray, Utah, Wednesday, March 7, 2018, 6 pm to 8 pm. Funeral services will be held at First Baptist Church, 777 South 1300 East, Salt Lake City, Utah, Thursday, March 8, 2018 at 1 pm with a viewing at 12 noon. Interment will be at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park, 3401 South Highland Drive, Salt Lake City, Utah. So many people have been touched by her, love her, and miss her.
