Alfred Rue Morris Obituary (1927 - 2014)

On October 30, 2014 our beloved father passed away. He was born December 17, 1927 to Luke and Stella Morris. Rue grew up in Murray and attended Murray High School. After graduating he joined the army and served during the Korean War. He was very proud of his service in the military. In 1954 he married Fae Goldman and they had four children together. They both loved spending time in the outdoors and traveling. Many of his fondest memories come from these trips. He enjoyed photography and has an extensive collection of photographs from the places they visited. He is survived by his children; Linda (Ron) Moulton, Mark (Karen) Morris, Scott (Susan) Morris; 10 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, brother; Lavelle, sister; Lavonne. The family thanks the staff at Crosslands Rehabilitation Center and Inspiration Hospice for the kindness and care they provided. Graveside services will be held at the Murray Cemetery on Friday November 7, 2014, 11:00 a.m. There will be a viewing prior to the services from 10:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. at the Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary in Murray.
