Alma Howard Cooper Obituary (1921 - 2006)

Alma Howard Cooper, 85, beloved husband & father, passed away at home December 16, 2006. He was born in Murray, Utah on June 22, 1921 to Alberto O. and Hattie Putnum Cooper. He married Barbara Riches June 29, 1951; later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple. He served a mission for the LDS Church; then began his trade as a Tool & Die Maker. Alma served as Sunday School Superintendent, as well as Boy Scout Troop Leader. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and bowling. Alma was an avid golfer and extremely enjoyed square dancing with his wife. Survived by his wife, Barbara; sons, Tom and Alan (Beverly); daughter, Michelle (Casey) Boyle; granddaughter, Shannon; and sister, Edna Dean. Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 21, 2006, at 11:00 a.m. at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 So. State Street, where friends and family may call from 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday evening and also from 10:00-10:45 a.m. on Thursday. Interment: Elysian Burial Gardens.
