Anthony "Tony" P. Metzger Obituary (1946 - 2007)

Tony passed away July 5, 2007 surrounded by his dearly beloved family. Born February 12, 1946 in Hudson, New York to Albert and Anna Stevenson Metzger. He served in the U.S. Coast Guard as a medic, after his tour of duty he worked for the Salt Lake County Fire Department as a firefighter, and finished his career as a building inspector for General Services Administration. He enjoyed golfing and riding his motorcycle. We all loved him unconditionally and will miss him dearly. Tony is survived by his wife Cheryl, daughter Tina (Kent) Thompson, 4 grandchildren; Bryce, Melisa, Garret, and Hailey. Two sisters; Allene, Nancy. Preceded in death by his parents Graveside services will be 11 am Wednesday July 11, 2007 at the Murray City Cemetery (5600 So. Vine St.). Viewing will be held Tuesday July 10 at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary (4760 So. State, Murray) from 6-8 pm, also 9:30-10:30 prior to the service.
