Baerbel Johanna Zerull Gaugh Obituary (1942 - 2016)

Beloved Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Sister and Aunt; Born in Wildau(Berlin) Germany to parents AnneMarie Herbst Zerull and Wilhelm Max Helmut Zerull; the fourth of six children: Yanni, Inga, Dietmar, Baerbel, Wilfried, and Dennis. After much hardship, she and most of her family escaped from socialist-communist East Germany to eventually find freedom and a new home in the United States of America. Baerbel is well known for her strength of character, her love of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and music. One of the messages she has always taught is "Freedom is not free! We have to fight for it!" Baerbel is survived by her Husband Christopher Zimmermann, Oldest Sister Yanni (Germany), Brother Dr. Dennis W. (Chef Christy) Zerull, DSc(Met.), DMin, Daughters Celene & Melissa (Ron), Sons Lee & Gregg (Kelly); grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Services are to be held for family and close friends.
