Betsy Pearl Boldt Danvers Obituary (1941 - 2019)

Betsy Pearl Boldt Danvers (Stevens) our beloved mother, grandma and spouse passed away on December 18, 2019 at the Utah Valley Hospital in Provo Utah from sepsis shock. She was born on November 18, 1941 in Salt Lake City to Woodrow Wilson Stevens and Pearl Luella Strong. She married Wolfgang (Willie) Boldt in the Salt Lake Temple on April 18, 1960 and had three children Allan, Darrell and Darlene. She divorced Willie and later in life married Lee. She spent most of her life in the central and northern parts of Utah. She is an endowed member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She was blessed with many talents and hobbies which she shared with her loved ones and friends. She sewed many of her children’s’ clothes and knitted their sweaters which they were proud to wear to school. She made tie quilts with her children for them and many others. She spent much of her time teaching her children arts and crafts. She helped her children paint designs on pillow cases and dish towels with Tri-Chem fabric paint. She taught her children how to paint and decorate ceramic pencil holders, chess sets and lamps for their night stands. She sewed costumes for Halloween and for school plays. She crocheted outfits for Barbie dolls for her granddaughters. She also served as a hospital volunteer at Gunnison Hospital. She is survived by her husband Lee Danvers; her children, Allan Maurice Boldt (Beverly), Darrell Ross Boldt, and Darlene Boldt Mesa; her grandchildren, Nathias Boldt, Justin Boldt, Daniel Fallis, Mileaha Boldt McMurtrey (Trevor) and Amber Boldt Watkins (Ian); Ruby Baze, Danielle Owens (Dustin), Amanda Dixon, Jonathan Mesa (Brandi), and her great grandchildren, Charlie McMurtrey, Bjorn Jenson, Steven Atwater, Jr., Swenson, Christian Manhard, Benjamin Manhard, Michael Baze, Saraphina Baze, Branden Baze, Jr., Dustin (DJ) Owens, Jr., Dexter Owens, Devan Owens, Dallas Owens, Aleaya Owens, Jaden Shrum, Jaida and Dakota. She is also survived by her two older brothers Jones (Jay) Woodrow Stevens and Ned E. Stevens. We would like to thank the hospital and staff for their tender and professional care of Betsy, for their thorough explanations and for their kind words of understanding. We would also like to thank the River Ridge 5th Ward Relief Society for providing the luncheon. The viewing and funeral services will be held on Monday, December 23, 2019 at Jenkins-Soffe Funeral Chapel located at 1007 W. South Jordan Parkway, South Jordan, Utah 84095. The viewing will be from 9:45 to 10:45am and the funeral will begin at 11 a.m. Interment will be at the South Jordan Cemetery.
