Bonnie Phillips Obituary (1925 - 2016)

Loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Our beautiful loving mother Mildred Evonne Whitehead (Bonnie) Phillips passed away peacefully on August 28, 2016. Bonnie was born on June 20, 1925 in Calgary, Alberta, Canada to Robert and Elva May Whitehead. Bonnie grew up in Sugarhouse, Utah and attended South High School. She met Curly – the love of her life and they married in 1942. She traveled the country as a military wife. She loved playing bridge and the girls in her club. She played well into her late eighties. Preceded in death by her husband Edward LeRoy Phillips, and grandson Sean LeRoy Phillips. She will be missed by all who were blessed to know and love her. Survived by her children Stephen (Karma), Ross (Lynda), Mark, David (Julie), Pennie (Bart) Tapp, Karen (Randy) DeLaMare and 8 grandchildren: Neil (Cathie). Skylar Phillips, Aireal Chapman, Tanya (Rod) Rasmussen, Brock (Dalu), Courtland Tapp, Taylor and Amy DeLaMare and 3 great grandchildren: Katie, Charlie, and Rex. Special thanks to Jeannie, Evelyn and all of her friends at Jordan Villa. Funeral services will be held Thursday, September 1, 2016 at 11:00 am at Utah Veterans Memorial Park, 17111 South Camp Williams Road, Bluffdale, UT with a visitation 1 hour prior to the funeral. A visitation will also be held Wednesday August 31, 2016 from 6:00-8:00 pm at the Jenkins Soffe South Valley, 1007 W. South Jordan Parkway (10600 South) South Jordan, UT.
