Boyd Otto Youngberg Obituary (1923 - 2006)

Boyd Otto Youngberg died October 22, 2006 of natural causes. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Boyd was born December 26, 1923 to John Alfred Youngberg and Matilda Olend Youngberg in Westpoint, Utah, the youngest of eleven children. He married Lucile Thorne on September 6, 1947. Boyd was a loving devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, golf, and building his dream cabin in Mckinnon, Wyoming. He worked for Kennecott Copper as a pipe fitter. He served in the U.S. military. Boyd is survived by his children, Linda (Eric) Moser, Stratton, CO; Susan (Darrell) Petersen, Taylorsville, UT; Jenny (Larry) Dew, Lehi, UT; Michael Youngberg, Murray, UT; brother Frank Ivar; sister Aileen Simper. He loved his 15 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, parents, six brothers and two sisters. Funeral services will be held at 12 Noon on Thursday, October 26, 2006 at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 So. State St. Friends may call Wednesday, October 25, 2006 from 6-8 p.m. and Thursday 11:00-11:45 a.m. at the mortuary. Interment, Wasatch Lawn.
