Bryan Lee Allen

–

Murray, UT

Bryan Lee Allen passed away after a six month battle with cancer surrounded by his loving family on January 5, 2020.

Bryan was born in Murray, Utah on April 26, 1961. He was the seventh child born to Elden and Verna Allen. Bryan grew to love the outdoors hunting and fishing with his dad, older brothers and three sisters.

He graduated from Murray High School with the class of 1979.

Bryan benefited from the guidance and example set by the leaders from his ward, because of their encouragement Bryan chose to go on an LDS mission to Chicago, Illinois. He loved his callings in church and especially enjoyed teaching the primary classes for 10 to 12 year old, which included his son.

After he returned from his mission he got a job working with a neighbor who had a brick laying company. While at his job he struck up a conversation with Jeanette and Robert, the home owners. After they learned that he had recently returned from a mission they suggested that he be introduced to Jeanette’s younger sister, Linda. After dating for two years, Bryan asked Linda to marry him. They were married on May 3, 1984, in the Salt Lake Temple.

He began working for Midwest Office Supply is 1983 and continued working there up until he became too ill to work. Throughout his illness he was touched by the caring and concern shown by his co-workers and the owner of Midwest Office Supply. We will be eternally grateful.

Through his employment Bryan was lucky enough to win two trips, one to Puerto Vallarta and Puerto Rico. Both he and Linda continued to love traveling and camping throughout their short lives together.

While living in their second apartment they met Mark and Deanne Ashbocker and they became lifelong friends. Other people who became friends with Bryan were entertained by his animated sense of humor.

In 2006, they were blessed with their son, Daniel. His arrival completed their little family. Bryan was so proud and he instantly became a loving and devoted father. Both he and Linda loved watching Daniel learn and grow. They passed on their love of camping in the outdoors to their son. Even though their time together has been cut short, Daniel will always cherish the time he spent with his father.

We would especially like to thank Bryan’s doctors, Dr. Thota and Dr. Brandt for their caring and compassionate service that was shown to him and Linda during his illness. We are grateful to the nurses in the infusion department who were always there for us which made those visits a much more pleasant experience. Also we would like to thank, Intermountain Healthcare Hospice for their promptness and professionalism during their visits.

Bryan was proceeded in death by his parents; Elden W. and Verna Winter Allen. He is survived by wife, Linda and son Daniel. Brothers Don (Linda), Lamont, (Judy), Dale (Christy), Kenny (Marsha) and sisters Janice (Jim England), Galyne (Gary Olsen) and Colleen (Darrell Aubrey) and thirty five nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be Saturday, January 11, 2020, at 1:00 p.m. at the Murray 22nd LDS Ward, 619 West 5750 South, Murray, Utah.
