“Beloved”\nCarol Marie Lewis, beloved wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother and great grandma, passed away on Friday August 29 of pneumonia.\nCarol was born in Portsmouth, Ohio on October 5 1928. At the age of 19 she married her sweetheart Donald Lewis, who became a career Navy man. They lived in California, Florida, Illinois, Virginia and London, England. Carol was a devoted member of the LDS Church, holding various callings, including Primary President, Relief Society President, choir member, and her favorite – Librarian. She was 1996-97 Volunteer of the Year in Va. Beach, Virginia, working in Social Services for 10 years. She endeared herself to all with her sweet disposition and great sense of humor.\nSurvived by her husband Donald Lewis of West Jordan, siblings Ann Bailey and George Gabbert of Ohio, son Don Lewis (Kathy) of Coalville Utah, daughters Janie Wallace (Lindsay) of So. Jordan Utah and Myra Robinson (Charlie) of Scarborough Main; also 12 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. Preceded in death by parents George and Lena Gabbert and brother Roy Gabbert.\nThanks to all for their kindness and support during this time. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday September 3rd 11:00 am at the Welby LDS Ward Chapel 9376 South 4000 West . No public viewing prior to services. Interment Lake Hills Memorial Park.
