Carolyn Alice Murphy Paske Obituary (1933 - 2018)

Our beloved Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother, Sister, and Daughter, passed away peacefully in her sleep on July 23, 2018. Mom was born on October 6, 1933 in Pacific Junction, Iowa, to the parents of Cleaman and Freda Murphy. She was the third born out of four girls. She grew up in East Los Angeles. She attended Garfield High School until the latter part of 12th grade. She withdrew from school to get married. She met her sweetheart Richard Lee Paske through a mutual friend in 1950. They later married on February 2, 1951 in Los Angeles, CA. Together they had three wonderful children, nine grandchildren, and eighteen great-grandchildren. Besides being a wonderful wife and mother, she worked for the Hacienda Unified School District for 10 years as an assistant cook. She also worked for Robinson’s Department Store distribution center as an office clerk. They started their retirement by moving to Anza, CA in 1979. They later moved to Sun City, CA. To be closer to family, they moved to Utah in 2000. Mom was very talented in sewing, crocheting, knitting, and making crafts. She was an excellent cook and baker. She enjoyed being on a bowling league and traveling with family. She loved interior decorating and shopping. Carolyn is survived by her three children, Debra, Rick (Tammy), Kelly (Cindy), Grandchildren, and Great-Grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, three sisters, Son-In-Law Robert (Debra), and her loving sweetheart Richard. A viewing will be held on Saturday, July 28th from 9:00 am- 10:30 am at Jenkins-Soffe 1007 W South Jordan Parkway, South Jordan, UT. A graveside service will be held immediately following at 11 am at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park South Valley 13001 S 3600 W, Riverton, UT
