On Sunday morning, July 24, 2011, our dear sister and loving aunt, Carolyn Davis, was peacefully called home after a sudden illness.\n\nCarolyn was born January 31, 1950, to Oliver Paul and May Hender Davis in Salt Lake City, Utah. She was devoted to her family and spent many years lovingly caring for her mom and dad. Carolyn worked for Abbott Laboratories for 33 years and retired in 2003. She was known for her love of family, generosity, kindness, and for her faithful service as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She served for many years in the Relief Society, was an ordinance worker at the Jordan River Temple, and loved her current calling as a Primary teacher.\n\nCarolyn was preceded in death by her parents and four brothers Robert, Vaughn, Michael (Mick), and Thomas (Tom). She is survived by her sister Pauline (Robert) Hardy and brother Warren (Laurette) Davis, sister-in-laws, and many nieces and nephews.\n\nA viewing will be held on Saturday, July 30, from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. at the Riverton 16th Ward, 1208 West 12400 South and will be followed by a funeral service at 12:00 noon. Interment at Redwood Memorial Estates.
