Charley L. Mock Obituary (1917 - 2007)

Charley L. Mock, 89, of Yuma, AZ., a longtime Cut Bank, MT resident, WWII veteran and retired Texaco field foreman, died of cancer Saturday 1/13/07. A memorial service is 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Community of Grace Presbyterian Church, followed by a reception. Charley was born June 21, 1917, in Winganon, OK, where he was raised and educated. An Army Air Force veteran, he served in the Pacific during World War II. Then moved to CO where they lived for 15 years. He married Mildred Ellen Upchurch in 1946 in Nowata, OK, and celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary last June. Survivors include a brother Edward and Ynez Mock, a son and two daughters, Wayne Mock, Thom and Cheryl (Mock) Mansen and Kathy Mock and Ken Augustson. He had six grand children Sara and Samuel Mock, Cameron Mansen, Kody, Kyle and Abby Augustson. Charley worked for Texaco for 35 years. He loved fly-fishing, woodworking, gardening, and could fix anything. He seemed to know who was in need and how to support them. He will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved him. A Memorial service will be held Tuesday, Jan. 16, 2007, 2:00pm at the Community of Grace Presbyterian Church 2015 East Newcastle Rd. (8600 South), followed by a reception.
