Cherie Lee McDermond Obituary (1946 - 2012)

Cherie Lee McDermond passed away on Thursday the 20th of September 2012. Cherie went home Thursday to a loving Heavenly Father after graduating from this earthly school. Cherie was born in Salt Lake City on August 29, 1946. Her parents were Donald Chase and Lucile Alice McDermond. Cherie was the oldest of five children with two half sisters. Cherie loved life. She loved to travel and visit new places. She and her husband Dimitry Asnes took a number of trips. When he passed she found another travel partner. Cherie and Linda and others spent many fun times on the Oregon Coast. Cherie loved children. Where ever she was the children were drawn to her or her to them. She was an amazing friend and a wonderful listener. She was never to busy to listen. She will be sorely missed by those who new her. We hope you are dancing Cherie. Cherie was preceded in death by her father, Don Mc Dermond, her mother, Lucile McIntosh and her husband Dimitry Asnes. She is survived by her step mother Kay McDermond, brothers Terrance Chase, Timothy J., Donald Kim, and sisters Tamra Stoddart, Dawn Thomas, and Ginny Dufurrena. A funeral will be held in her honor on Thursday September 27 at 11:00 AM, at the LDS ward building at 3963 South Peachwood Drive (3480 West) West Valley City.
