Christina Elaine Harris Obituary (1929 - 2016)

Our dear mom, Christina "Elaine" Harris, passed away peacefully on November 11, 2016. She will be missed but never forgotten. Born to Douglas and Erdria Murray, March 30, 1929 in Roosevelt, UT. Elaine married the love of her life, Merle "Mike" Harris, June 2, 1950. She is survived by her children, Michael Whitney (Hannah), Linda Incardine (Joe), Murray Harris (Jewly); grandchildren, Ian Whitney(Laura), Stephanie Hohlios (Michael), Joey Incardine, Brittnie Constancia, Cohl Harris (Ashley); great grandchildren, Evelyn Hannah Murphy Whitney, Carson Constancia, Cohen Harris, Lila Harris; and many family and friends who loved her dearly. Preceded in death by her parents and husband, Merle "Mike" Harris. Elaine never let life define her. She was strong, capable and worked hard to break through barriers in the work place to enjoy a long career in the optical industry. Hand in hand with dad, they taught us life lessons and encouraged qualities such as loyalty, perseverance, respect for others and yourself. They also allowed us to laugh as much as possible, celebrate family and holidays, and to dance like it was 1999. She was a friend to our friends and made them family. Mom had a strong faith in God. She left this life and was welcomed at Heaven's gate. She and Dad are no doubt dancing. A special thank you to Phil, whose help and friendship meant so much to mom. We also thank Dr. Bennett, Sally and her team from Quality Home Health and Hospice, as well as the Heart Clinic at IMC. At Elaine's request, there will be no services.
