Constance Ruth Ernsten Obituary (1921 - 2010)

Constance Ruth Ernsten passed away March 15, 2010. She was born in Dover, New Hampshire on February 6, 1921 to Benjamin and Emily Farley. She married her sweetheart, Duane Ernsten in 1946. Constance was a Wave in the U.S. Navy and served during WWII. She was a longtime employee of Sears and Roebuck Co. She was also active in the Democratic Women’s Club. Constance also enjoyed being a housewife and one of her favorite pastimes was crocheting—taking 1st place in the County Fair for her beautiful work. Survived by her son, Michael (Robyn) Ernsten of West Valley; daughter, Barbara (Joseph) Stalnaker of Grand Forks, North Dakota; six grandchildren, Brian Ernsten, K.C. Ernsten, Reta Smith, Tammie McGoven, Beverly Bumgardner, and Jody Oliver; many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Duane; brother, Ben Farley; son, Larry Williams; and dear friends, Jim Mortensen and Ruby Ohrn. The family expresses special thanks to the kind people of Rocky Mountain Care in West Valley City. Graveside services will be held Friday, March 26, 2010 at 2 p.m. at Valley View Memorial Park, 4335 West 4100 South, West Valley City, Utah.
