Cory Mitchell Snodgrass Obituary (1965 - 2021)

Cory Mitchell Snodgrass, beloved Son, Father and Husband, lost his battle to renal cell carcinoma in his home on April 18, 2021, he was 55 years old. Cory was born to Robert Kenneth Snodgrass & Bonnie May Hayward Snodgrass in West Valley Utah. He married Darla Pack in 1987. Cory attended College of Eastern Utah where he played baseball and football. Cory always aspired to work in law enforcement and was one of the first police academy graduates in the state who paid their own way through the Academy. Cory served his community for 29 years in law enforcement including: West Jordan Police Department, Salt Lake County Sherriff’s Office, Taylorsville City Police Department and Unified Police Department. Some of his assignments were a K-9 Officer, the Wasatch Range Task force, detective in sex crimes, and he retired as a Lieutenant. Cory was an outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, four wheeling and camping. Cory is now rejoicing in a reunion with his parents, Bob & Bonnie. He was survived by his wife, Darla, his children Maegan, (Francisco) and Kaela, and his siblings, Linda James, Mike Snodgrass, and Debra Kemp, and numerous nieces and nephews. A public viewing will be held at Jenkins-Soffe South Valley at 1007 W. South Jordan Parkway, South Jordan, Utah 84095 on Sunday from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. A private family viewing will be held Monday at the same location at 10:00 – 10:30 a.m. A graveside service will be held at the Riverton Cemetery, 1540 W 13200 S., Riverton UT 84065 on Monday at 11:00 a.m.
