Click HERE to view Funeral Services for Cristee Edvalson Cristee Coleman Edvalson, 62, passed away unexpectedly on February 2, 2021 from complications related to Crohn’s disease. She was diagnosed with Crohn’s disease in 1994 and fought a valiant battle for many years! Cristee was born December 28, 1958 in American Fork, Utah to Veldon and Marie Coleman. She was raised in Utah County where she participated and excelled in basketball, softball, and marching band. After high school graduation she pursued her education at Rick’s College in Idaho prior to serving a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She spent the duration of her mission in various towns within West Virginia. In 1983 she went on a blind date where she met her husband, Mike. Eight days after meeting, Mike proposed at a drive-in movie with his two sons in agreement. They were married and sealed in the Salt Lake Temple on October 14, 1983. As they grew together, they played co-ed softball, explored the outdoors, raised four boys and one daughter in a small town in Northern Utah. Cristee and Mike were always ready to start any completive game as the opportunity arose. Mike held her as she completed her moral journey. She was reunited at death with her son Conrad, father Veldon, sister Pamela, and father-in-law Jack to name a few loved ones. She is survived by: Husband: Mike; Children: Ryan (Michelle), Tyler (Amber), Camille (Dave), CJ (Tia); Mother: Marie; Mother-in-law: Nita; Siblings: Veldon Jr. (Cheryl), Kevin; Eddie (Steve); Gina; Grandchildren: Swayzee 3, Jackson 5, Jessa 5, Ethan 8, Bailee 11, Chase 16, Erika, Alexis 21, Kailyn 16, and Payton 12. Over the years Cristee loved and metaphorically adopted many other children and grandchildren. She always had a shoulder to cry on, listening ears, a warm bed, and you could never leave without a full stomach. Her grandchildren were the light of her life! Her children teased Cristee for giving preferential treatment to them. Cristee always had a drawer of licorice and other sweets to sugar them up with! Ice cream runs with grandma were never in short supply! She always had a reason to stay up late and watch movies with them. Grandma never ran out of hugs and room in her heart to love!
