Dante Lorenzo Pomakaika'I O Kalani Tamayo Obituary (2013 - 2013)

On March 05, 2013 our brave little angel Dante Lorenzo Pomaikka'I O Kalani Tamayo was called home to heaven, Dante was born March 05, 2013 he weighed 5 pounds and was 17.25 inches in length, we were able to spend two amazing heart felt hours with him before he passed away due to complications of being born with encephalocele. Though our time with him was short our memories of him and his bravery will last a lifetime. Dante fought for 9 months in utero to be able to donate his organs, saving the lives of others. This decision was made by his parents 16 weeks into the pregnancy after being given the devastating news of their son's tragic condition they made the brave selfless decision not to terminate, but to carry on through the pregnancy so he could save others. He is now at peace with our Heavenly Father as he is now with his relatives who have also passed. Dante is survived by his Parents Jose and Leimomi Tamayo and by his Siblings; Cristian Tamayo, Alex Tamayo, and Kiara Tamayo (West Jordan), Grandparents; Marcus & Darlene Ayudan (West Jordan), Librada Bacelis (Mexico), Aunts & Uncles; Tisha Ayudan (Hawaii), Kelley Medina (Woods Cross), Marcus Ayudan, Natasha Ayudan, Christopher Ayudan (West Jordan), Roberto Tamayo (Sandy), Adiel Tamayo (West Valley), Yeimmy Regalado (Midvale), Carolina Tamayo (Sandy), Imely Tamayo & Zuleimy Bacelis (Mexico) along with their spouses and lots of cousins. We would like to thank the staff at Jordan Valley Hospital for all the special care that they provided us with. We now consider them a part of our family.
