Delbert (Dell) Erick Gillen Obituary (1922 - 2014)

Delbert (Dell) Erick Gillen passed away quietly December 2, 2014. He was born August 28, 1922 in Murray, Utah. He was a devoted husband, father of David Erick Gillen, and adored uncle. He married his "Angel" Beverly Griffiths Gillen in the Salt Lake Temple and lived to please her for 62 years. He served his country in Germany during World War II, as well as faithfully served in the LDS church. He was a Utah native, but fell in love with his time in California through his military service. He loved to golf and garden and of course his pets. He was a great neighbor and friend. Dell is preceded in death by his wife and son. Dell is survived by Tiny, his beloved dog. A special thanks to Kathy and Erin with Bluff Pointe Care and the Brighton Hospice team. A viewing will be held at Jenkins-Soffe South Valley, 1007 W. South Jordan Parkway, South Jordan, Utah from 9:30-10:30 am on Saturday, December 6, 2014.
