Della Rae Garlick Obituary (1930 - 2010)

Della Rae Garlick passed away on April 27, 2010 in Murray, Utah. Born May 21, 1930 in Mount Pleasant, Utah. Daughter of Eskel and Viola Sorenson Mower. Married Boyd Garlick Dec. 31, 1949; later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple. Survived by her husband, Boyd; sons, Brad (Linda) of South Jordan, Steve (Julie) of Riverton; five grandchildren, Heather, Amy, Ryan, Matt, Megan; two great-grandchildren; sisters, Carolyn Adamson and Bonnie Simons. Mom left this life how she would have wanted, surrounded with family, standing by her bed. In spite of health issues most of her life, she cared for each of us. She was selfless and tender in all of her relations. Through many church callings she quietly influenced those she served. Her faith never wavered and was an anchor to her life and our family. Her marriage to Dad for 60 years left them inseparable. She will be dearly missed by all of us. Funeral and viewings will be held at the Murray 10th Ward chapel, 5750 S. Nena Way (100 W) in Murray. A viewing for friends and family will be held Friday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and on Saturday from 11:00 to 11:45 am. The funeral services will begin at 12:00 Noon on Saturday, May 1, 2010.
