Deonne Schmittroth Obituary (1926 - 2011)

I’ll Walk Just Beyond the Moon and I’ll Stop and Wait for You.Deonne Fox Schmittroth was born to Isaac Clemens and Anona Nielsen Fox. She married Nicholas “Bud” Richard Schmittroth on July 6, 1944.Deonne loved camping, gardening and gourmet cooking. She was a professional seamstress, designer and artist. Above all else, she loved her family. She was a very giving person who did whatever it took to make others happy and feel accepted. She loved everyone she knew as if they were one of her own. Deonne was adored by her husband, children and grandchildren. Survived by her children: Sharon (Ned) Alldredge, Connie (Eric) Gardner, Richard (Bobby) Schmittroth and Troy Schmittroth; 17 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; one great-great granddaughter; brother, Gene (Alice) Fox; and sister, Colleen (Bill) Harper. Preceded in death by her husband; grandson, Nicholas; parents; one brother; and one sister. Graveside services will be Saturday, May 7, 2011 at 3:00 p.m. at Murray City Cemetery, 5490 S. Vine Street. Friends and family may pay their respects from 6-8 p.m. on Friday evening at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 S. State Street.A special thank you is expressed to Deonne’s youngest son, Troy, for the sweet loving care he gave to Mom in her last years.
