Doroteo Hernandez

70 years of age, Resident of South Salt Lake City, left our earthly presence late evening Friday August 23, 2013. He was born September 9, 1942 in Querétaro, México to parents María Luisa Villedas and Juan Hernández. Doroteo was happily married to his beautiful wife Bertha Hernández for 40 years. He was a very proud servant of the México Militia and Police Academy. He was employed and retired by Nelson's Silver Cup Fish Feed for an amazing 27 years of service. Personal happiness was brought upon caring and tending to his wife and her medical needs, teaching and encouraging his grandchildren; he was able to teach each grandchild how to ride a bike, he was a blessing to the earth with his magical green thumb, keeping tabs on world boxers and always routing for the Hispanic Pride, upholding his home and vehicle regularly, road trips to Wendover, shopping for family provisions especially at the local Costco, Rancho Market and Salt Lake City's La Flor shop. We are blessed as his family to know he was able to visit and accomplish a majority of these hobbies and duties on his final resting day. He survived by Wife: Bertha Hernandez, Daughters: Maria Hernandez (Spouse Victor Cruz), Melva Rodriguez (Spouse Demetrio Rodriguez), Grandchildren: Crystal Garcia, Jose Zagal (Spouse Vera Salinas), Esperanza Aispuro, Antonio Cruz, Liliana Cruz, Sergio Aispuro, Alyssia Hernandez, and Great Grandbaby: Sebastian Zagal, Sister: Leonarda Hernandez Molina (Spouse Reyes Molina) Nieces/Nephew: Maria, Martha, Reyes, Guadalupe, Reyna and extended family.
Services will be held Wednesday August 28, 2013 at Jenkins-Soffe Funeral Home (4760 South State Murray, Utah 84107) Viewing will take place from 4:00-5:00pm; Father Joseph Frez will be holding the church ceremony at 5:00pm in the same location.
We as a family would like to thank everyone who has been of great help in these difficult moments. Each and every one is deeply appreciated. We send our blessings and gratitude.
