Duane returned to his Heavenly Father on April 27th, 2016 one month shy of his 57th birthday. He died on his farm, doing what he loved… working. Duane married his best friend and sweetheart, Jolene M Parry, on September 12, 1980 in the Salt Lake LDS temple. Together they raised two good-looking children, Ashlee and Cole, whom they are very proud of. He was an active member of the LDS church. Duane graduated from Cottonwood High School; he worked for Kennecott Copper, Staker Paving, and then went on to start Yardshaper Landscape. If you knew Dewy, you understood how hard of a worker he was. This is a value that he taught everyone he crossed paths with. He literally worked himself out of multiple shoulder replacements. Duane was always thinking of his friends and didn't hesitate to call them to make sure they were doing ok. Duane and Jolene have made lifelong relationships with friends in the neighborhoods of Taylorsville, Riverton, and Bluffdale. He was a member of the Sons of the American Revolution, The Sons of the Utah Pioneers, and President of the Bovine Buddy Club (not yet incorporated).
Dewy spent the majority of his days outside doing what he loved; hauling dirt, digging in dirt, and generally moving dirt into different piles for somebody. Occasionally he'd add a little lawn mowing or re-landscaping into the mix. He loved to use his creativity building rock walls. Duane was an excellent heavy equipment operator and was able to use his talents every day in his occupation or at home with his Buffalo. Even if it meant that he was the "on call" neighborhood hole-digger. He loved his animals and made sure that he had enough ponies for all of his grandchildren, and then some. He even offered one to the NICU nurse last week while he was visiting his new grandson. Duane was very interested in all his livestock and even had rodeo bucking bulls. The only thing he loved more than watching Bull Riding (or talking about Bull Riding… or talking about watching Bull Riding) was his family. Duane was a devoted husband and father. He adored all his grandchildren and shared their stories with anyone he could hold captive. He served others constantly and was an example to everyone of how a great man should act. While he only had two children he was a father figure to many, many more.
Although we are happy that he is now free from the severe limitations of his physical body, we are extremely saddened by the sudden loss. There will always be a huge void in our hearts for him. He will be sorely missed. He is survived by his loving wife, Jolene, his daughter Ashlee (Jake) VanAllen, and son Cole (Whitney) Breinholt. He left behind 3 beautiful grandchildren; Miss Sophie (5), Lucy LaVon ("Sparkle", 4 months) and Collin ("Hercules", 2 weeks). His siblings are Ron, Jill, Kent (Susan), Jon (Angie) Breinholt and Becky (Marc) Briggs. He was preceded in death by his parents Gordon and Ruth Breinholt and his in laws Max and LaVon Parry. We would like to thank everyone for the incredible outpouring of love and support at this time. A memorial fund has been set up at www.gofundme.com/dewy-breinholt

In lieu of flowers, don't vote for Hillary. Thinking about her as President most likely caused him to blow his gasket.
