Edward R. Jenkins Obituary (1936 - 2014)

"Ed" Our beloved dad, Edward "Ed" R Jenkins, left us peacefully to join our mom on August 8, 2014. After 56 years of marriage, he didn't want to be without her. He was born in Ferron, Utah on February 5, 1936 to Clyde and Estella "Funk" Jenkins. Dad served his country honorably in both the U.S. Army and U.S. Air Force. He worked as a carpenter and made a career as a Draftsman during the days when drafting was done by hand. He was an avid gardener and enjoyed the riot of color he created in the yard. Three daughters, Trudee, Stephanie, Jalene, sons-in-law, Marty and Justin and granddaughters, Jessica, Tiffany, Shelbie and Hailey will miss him and his cheerful whistle every day. We will honor Dad at a graveside service on Friday, August 22nd at Utah Veterans Memorial Park, 17111 S Camp Williams Rd, at 11:00 am. There will be a luncheon/memorial following the service at 32 E Clubview Ln, Lehi, UT. Online condolences may be shared with the family at www.jenkins-soffe.com.
