Eileen Fay Drachman Obituary (1925 - 2014)

Eileen Fay Drachman was born September 22, 1925 to Stella Margaret Davie and Holger Michael Nicholas Drachman in Salt Lake City, Utah. Our loving and caring aunt, sister-in-law, and dear friend passed away peacefully in her home on September 8, 2014 - exactly two weeks shy of her 89th birthday. Eileen attended Roosevelt Elementary, Granite Junior High, and Granite High School where she graduated in 1944. She attended the University of Utah and Graduated from Henegar School of Business and was a member of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority, and a Lifetime Member of the International Honorary Society of Business Education. She began her career with Western Union Telegraph, moving to Ray, Rollins, Jones, and Henderson Law Firm, and retired after 24 years of service from Utah Power and Light Company in 1987. Eileen was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints – she went about her way, silently serving – never wanting recognition or acknowledgement for her acts of service. She is preceded in death by her parents, Stella Margaret Davie and Holger Michael Nicholas Drachman; brother, Vernon Hastings Drachman; half-sister, Stella Alberta "Birdie" Winn; nephews, Norman C. Winn and Dennis R.Winn; and great-niece, Sherrie Lambourne Norris. She is survived and deeply loved by her nephews and nieces, Michael Vernon Drachman (Julie), Kevin Hansen Drachman (Michelle), Leslie Drachman Eatchel (Brad), Ann Winn Lambourne (Dan); and her many other great nephews and nieces. She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Marilyn Hansen Drachman Cook (Guy). "Eileen, you will forever be in our hearts; Thank you for being such an example and for all the memories you created and shared with us throughout the years – we are truly blessed because of them.
