Emily Enniss Stone Andrus Obituary (1918 - 2009)

“I didn’t know I was doing any good…. I was just having fun”Wife, Mom, Grandma, Sister, Aunt, Beloved Friend…Emily has been involved in living life and has been hard to keep up with for all those 90 wonderful years. For Emily family came first. She loved cooking, scouting, PTA, Relief Society, DUP, party planning, and every holiday – especially Christmas!Emily was born November 17, 1918 to Alva Benjamine and Helga Petersen Enniss. She was second child of seven children: Gerald, John, Dan, Donna, Merle, Vern and Erma. She truly was the BEST big sister and dearly loved her sisters Donna and Erma! She was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.Emily married the love of her life, Lloyd Phillip Stone, June 8, 1937. They were later sealed in the Salt Lake Temple and shared so many wonderful times in their 54 years together. He passed away Nov. 22, 1992. They had seven children, Jerry Stone (Maxine Davidson), Diane (Layne) Downs, Renae (Ernie) Bedont, Marilyn (Robert) Larson, Lonnie (Kathy) Stone, Robin (Brent) Bonham and Robert Mark Stone. She is the loving grandmother of 30 grandchildren and FIFTY great-grandchildren.Emily married her dearest friend, Clarence R. Andrus, November 15, 2004. We are so grateful for the love they shared and all the fun times and companionship they had. She loved Clarence and his children, Raymond (Sharon), Roger (Cora), Loy Ann, Terry (Larry), Pat (Jeff) and Mike.As we say good bye to her, there are many loved ones on the other side rejoicing at her arrival. Husband Lloyd, son ‘Bob’, and grandchildren Corey and Angelique and many others that have gone on ahead.We love you Mom … And miss you. Thank you for teaching us how to enjoy our journey!Funeral services will be held Thursday July 23rd at 11:00 am at the Draper Utah Corner Canyon Stake Center 13366 South 1300 East. Viewing will be Wednesday from 6:00-8:00 pm at Jenkins-Soffe South Valley 1007 W. South Jordan Pkwy (10600 S.) and Thursday from 10-10:45 am at the church. Interment Murray City Cemetery.
