Erma Stenquist Limberg Obituary (1925 - 2017)

“Forever Together” Erma passed away in Murray, Utah on August 23, 2017. She was born February 18, 1925 in Tremonton, Utah to Erick August Stenquist and Marie Elizabeth Sedell. She married her sweetheart, Raymond Axel Limberg, on August 2, 1944; their marriage was solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple. They have resided in Murray, Utah for 73 years. Erma was a homemaker, a Unit Secretary at Cottonwood Hospital, and served as President of the Murray City Fireman’s Auxiliary. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where she served in many callings. Mom and Dad enjoyed spending their summers at Lemons Grove by the Provo River for many years. They spent many years snow birding in Yuma, Arizona with many friends. Mom and Dad were best friends and sweethearts and were married 73 years. What a milestone. Mom was a wonderful mother and homemaker in all aspects, a wonderful cook, and famous for her apple strudel. Mom had many talents—her crochet and handwork won many awards. Her pride and joy was her rose garden. She loved gardening, and it showed. She is survived by her loving husband, Raymond; her children, David R. Limberg (Shanna), Sharon Tillmann (Holger), Diane Staley (Bob); 13 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Selma and Thelma. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers and a sister; a grandchild and great-great-granddaughter. Funeral services will be Monday, August 28, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at the LDS Chapel located at 67 West Clay Park Drive, Murray, Utah with a viewing at the church prior to services from 9:30-10:30 a.m. An evening viewing will be Sunday, August 27, 2017 from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at Jenkins Soffe Mortuary, 4760 South State Street, Murray, Utah.
