Frank Cowan Obituary (1928 - 2014)

12/22/1928 ~ 9/5/2014 Albert Frank Cowan returned to his Heavenly Father on September 5, 2014 at the age of 85. Frank was born in Payson, Utah on December 22, 1928 to George Marlin Cowan and Viola Butler Cowan. Frank married Evelyn Gottfredson on March 7, 1951. Their union was solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple. He joined the U.S. Army and served in the Korean War. He made his living by driving and running his own trucking line "Cowan Trucking". Frank served in many callings in the LDS Church. With his sweet wife Evelyn, they had 3 children and made their family home in Murray, Utah. They later moved to their beloved cabin in Timberlakes, Utah. Frank was a strong family man, good provider and loved nothing more than his 12 grandchildren and 29 great grandchildren. He has left us with many great family memories. He is preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn; parents, and brothers, Dan and Michael. Frank is survived by his children, Craig (Roxanne) Cowan, Kay (Mike) Kalakis, Cinda (Bryan) Davies; 3 sisters, Nelda Owen, Zola Van Zeben, Marion Cowan; many nieces and nephews and those wonderful grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, September 10, 2014, 11:00 a.m. at the Lake Creek 2nd Ward, 6250 E. 1200 S., Heber, Utah. Viewings will be held Tuesday, September 9, 2014, 6-8 p.m. at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 So. State St, Murray, and Wednesday from 10-10:45 a.m. prior to services at the church.
