Gail Owen Payne Obituary (1922 - 2009)

“Together Forever”Our loyal and dedicated father, Gail Owen Payne, age 87, passed away December 31, 2009. Gail was born August 27, 1922 in Standardville, UT to Floyd and Ona Payne. He married “the love of his life”, Dorothy Baer on November 27, 1948 in Glencoe, IL where they built their first home. Gail was raised in Draper, UT on a chicken farm where he candled eggs. He loved all sports, both playing and watching them. His favorite sport was golf, a true love-hate relationship. Gail was a hard working vice president of PM Engineers. He retired after 31 years of dedication in 1987. Gail and Dorothy happily traveled the entire U.S. for 15 years. They made thousands of wonderful memories along their journey. Gail & Dorothy were soul mates and adored each other. Anyone who ever met or knew Gail said he was a very nice man and a true gentleman.
