Gary Lynn Gorringe triumphantly returned to his Heavenly Father on July 2, 2019 after fighting a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. Gary was born May 26, 1946 to Edward William Gorringe and Alice Ida Dahlberg. He was a graduate of Hillcrest High School and served a full-time mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the West German Mission in Frankfurt. After his return, he married his sweetheart Margene Foster and was happily married to her for nearly 50 years.
Gary spent 44 years working in various positions at Engineering firms. He was capable of building anything including building and remodeling his home. He loved gardening and plants, at one point raising over 5000 orchids. He loved spending time with his family outdoors; hunting, fishing, camping and activities on the water. There was nothing more important than his family. He loved playing games and making mischief with the grandkids. Gary and Margene loved to travel the world together. Late in life, he served a second mission with Margene in the Olongapo Philippines followed by a mission together at the Riverton Family History Center.
