George C. Hepner Obituary (1927 - 2013)

George Carroll Hepner, 85, died at his home. He was born in Salt Lake City, Utah, to George Edward Hepner and Caroline Hepner Cohn. George married his sweetheart, Marcia Joyce Sharp on June 26, 1956. He graduated from South High School in 1945. He retired after being a truck driver for many years. He was a member of The Rocky Mountain Chapter American Truck Historical Society. George is survived by his wife, Marcia; two sons, Nick J. (Karen Chidester) and Jack L. (Shanna); one daughter, Karen Hepner; two granddaughters, Amy (Jared) Thorsen and Randi Hepner; two grandsons, Sean J. Hepner and Ricky J. Hepner; and five great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by his parents; his step-father, Morris B. Cohn; and his daughter-in-law, Kristi Hepner. Graveside services will be Saturday, March 23, 2013, at 3 p.m. at Elysian Burial Gardens, 1075 E. 4580 S., with a viewing at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 S.
