George David Clayton

George David “Dave” Clayton was born May 13, 1960 in Salt Lake City, Utah and passed away on May 1, 2010 in Murray, Utah due to complications of diabetes.Born to Robert Earl and Helen Slack-Salerno Clayton, he was raised in Salt Lake City, Utah and Caldwell, Idaho. He graduated from Olympus High School in 1978 and served an LDS mission to the Canada Montreal French-Speaking Mission from 1979-1981. Married Lisa Marzo in the Salt Lake Temple on September 16, 1983; later divorced. Dave was a kind, gentle man with a keen intellect and a witty sense of humor. He loved his family. Survived by his children, Matthew and Natalie; his mother, Helen; and siblings, Katheryn, Jim (Alicia), Jeff (Susie), Julia and Rob (Susan). Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his father, Robert Earl Clayton; and niece, Helen Joy Loizos.Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 6th at 11:00 a.m. at the Little Cottonwood 18th Ward, 6410 S. 725 E. A viewing will be held Wednesday evening from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 S. State Street, and Thursday from 10:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. at the church prior to services. Interment: Murray City Cemetery.“We love you, Dave.”
