George E. Rice Obituary (1925 - 2010)

George E. Rice passed away March 29, 2010 at his home. Born December 11, 1925 to Clyde and Zeta Thurman. Married Katherine J. Mark Rice on June 23, 1954. He loved to travel, and he enjoyed fishing and gardening. George served in the U.S. Army during WWII. Survived by the love of his life for 55 years, Katherine; four sisters; brother; and numerous family members who loved him. Graveside services will be held Thursday, April 1, 2010, at 2:30 p.m. at the Mt. Calvary Cemetery. A viewing will be held from 1:00-2:00 p.m. at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 So. State St. prior to the graveside service.
