George Lynn Wood Obituary (1939 - 2009)

Born December 31, 1939 to George Albert Wood and Mabel Ann Naylor in Murray, Utah. He died peacefully in his home from complications of pneumonia on January 2, 2009. Survived by three children, Julie (Mike) Hamberlin, Jean (Rod) Sweet and David Wood. He had 10 grandchildren, Sabreena, Jason, Robyn, Emilee, Sarah, Alex, Jacob, Hayden, Cody (deceased) and Alexander. Preceded in death by daughter Lanett and Parents. He retired from L3 Communications and was a member of the Coast Guard Auxiliary. His sly sense of humor and dry wit will be missed by all who knew him. He is much missed by his beloved dog Tuffy. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 7, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at Riverside 2nd Ward, 464 West Germania Ave., Murray Utah, with a viewing on Tuesday, January 6, 2009 from 6-8 p.m. at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 S State St., Murray, Utah and one hour prior to services. Interment Murray City Cemetery.
