Gilbert Manuel Aragon Obituary (1960 - 2006)

“Will be missed” Our fallen brother and son returned to the graces of Our Heavenly Father on December 15, 2006 after a courageous but brief battle with cancer. He is now reunited with our dear Dad, loving Sister and relatives whom preceded him in taking that inevitable upward journey. Born March 2, 1960 in Durango, CO, Gilbert lived life to the fullest as a true outdoor enthusiast. Skiing, hunting, and fishing highlighted many of his treasured endeavors. He was an unparalled craftsman who was employed with Precision Tech Welding and Machine in which he was very proud of. He had an innate ability to fabricate just about anything; whether from his machinist expertise or from his extraordinary knack for sewing. Although he was mostly independent and preferred spending time alone during his evanescent 46 years, we will cherish those times past when we caught glimpses of a strong willed man who we could love, laugh together, and enjoy life with. Gilbert, we will miss your smile and presence, and look forward to the day when we have the opportunity to be with you again. Survived by his mother; Frances Aragon, sisters & brothers; Tina (Todd) Ashley, Jamie Carr, Dolores Aragon, Randy (Jennifer) Aragon and Jeremy (Natalie) Aragon. Numerous nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles, and all his family at Precision Tech. Preceded in death by his father; Manuel Aragon and sister; Angela Carr. The family would like to thank Jerald Lucero and his family for all the love and support they have given. A viewing will be held on from 3-5 p.m. on Monday, December 18, 2006 at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary (4760 So. State St.). A memorial service will be held at a later date.
