Gwyneth Megan Forward Cordery Obituary (1928 - 2014)

Gwyneth Megan Forward Cordery, our dear mother, nan, grandmother, sister and aunt, passed away at her home in Murray, Utah surrounded by her family on November 23, 2014, at the age of 86. Megan was born October 16, 1928 in Cwmavon, South Wales to Edwin Forward and Sarah Allen. She immigrated to Salt Lake City, Utah in December 1947. On April 14, 1950 Megan married her devoted husband, Raymond Cordery in the Salt Lake Temple. They enjoyed 57 wonderful years together. Megan was a steadfast and valiant member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, serving with love and devotion for 20 years in the Jordon River Temple. Megan's greatest joy was serving and being with her family, both near and far. Her love and kindness was a gift to all who knew her. Megan will be remembered by her children, Gail (Marc), Lois (Randy), Kaye (Dan), and Sara, 12 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren; sisters, Ellen Williams, Bette Miles; brothers Wilfred and Colin (Sylvia) Forward. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sister, Lois Buchanan and brothers, Allen, Gordon and Malcolm Forward. Funeral services will be held at the Parkview Ward 619 West 5750 South, Friday, December 5, 2014 at 1:00 pm. Interment at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park 3401 South Highland Drive.
