Harry T Thorkildsen Obituary (1914 - 2006)

Born August 24th 1914 and passed away on December 9, 2006. Married Louise Reynolds on July 23, 1938 and were very happily married for 59 years, until her death in May of 1997. Harry was one of four children; sisters, Betty Villiard (deceased); Dorthy Thompson (deceased); and brother, Don Thorkildsen (Karlene). Harry and Louise had three children, Marlene (Robert) Lawrence, Jack Thorkildsen, Terry (Linda) Thorkildsen. Two grandchildren, Rita Pacheco and Brian (Jennifer) Thorkildsen. Harry loved the outdoors, enjoying hunting and fishing in his younger years. He was also known for being a hard worker, being a hardrock miner in Park City, Alta, California and Nevada, being one of the last surviving miners of his era in Utah. Then he worked as a tilesetter for over 20 years. We want to thank Jack for taking care of Dad for the past 10 years since Mom’s been gone, it made us rest easier knowing you were there, and also thank you to Don & Karlene for all of your loving concern and help shown to Dad. Harry was a member of the Holladay congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses where his memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 16, 2006 at 1:30 p.m. 2595 East Wren Road (4850 South) Holladay, Utah.
